Every site needs a section or a page for users to be able to contact the owners/editors of the site or company. This page should contain all the social media links, so that users can contact the company through social media. There should also be a form which users can also use to contact. The form should include many fields such as a means to contact the user back directly whether its a email or phone number, a name and a reason for contacting the company using the form. This could be a message to say something good or it could be a complaint or constructive criticism. All which help the site and company grow in the future.
Hi Glyn, You can indeed keep your domain name. Domain registration is a separate process to site building, so there's no risk of getting one stuck on a platform you don't want to use any more. With the initial questions out of the way, Wix will ask you if you trust the ADI enough to let it build an example website for you, or if you want to build everything by hand. Going with the ADI is a much more efficient approach, especially since you can come back later on and customize every little detail of your site. You’re not stuck with the initial suggestions that Wix gives you.
If your template comes with images, these can be changed too. This is what makes Wix the best – you can really make the website your own, one click at a time. Don’t like an image? Click it and switch it out for something you do like. It could be a saved photo from your business, or one of Wix’s free images – there are tons of design possibilities to be explored here.
A perfect example would be a photographers portfolio website. They may have different pages for different types of photos such as nature, cars even maybe something small such as street signs. Having a car page would mean, no images of nature should be in the gallery of the car page, unless the photo over laps each category. Then the photo could be an exception.
Each of these pages serves a specific purpose for your store and its functionality. The good news is that most themes these days are optimized to make those pages look right.
